About Us

Okay, here's an all-new bio of the current Twosome line-up:

The Notorious DBDB at The Fat Cat 05/11/05 hails originally from the North-East , he's a blues-player with many years of dues-paying musicianship (and years of work in the building trade) under his belt. Dick has been living in Sheffield since about 1977, his reasons for settling here are unclear, but I'm glad he did.

Stumblin' Andy K is also from Sheffield. After many years of Stumble in the Junglebusking for a living, mostly playing Robert Johnson's songs (to ensure that the vast majority of the public would be unfamiliar with his material!), he became one of the UK's army of scandalously underpaid archaeologists.

Andy & Dick first met on a building site in Beautiful Downtown Sheffburg, where Dick was snagging and Andy was excavating an old lead-processing works.

Previously:

Our debut performance, with the Chas & Andy line-up, was at The Lion's Lair (formerly The Yorkshireman), Sheffield, on Sunday 27/07/2003.

With a repeat performance the following Sunday. We've played a good number of gigs since then, ranging from private parties and BBQs, to a The Bluesome Twosome at Cognac 24/07/2004 major international Blues Festival!

Andy's grandpa, Charlie Ainsworth, played in dance bands in and around Blackpool during the roaring Art-Deco era. Here he is with banjo & tenor guitar:
